Bridie is the foundation mare of our stud, hence why she is so special to us.She is kindly loaned to us. Bridie is pictured here with PICTUS BLUEBELL born 2007, when Bridie was aged 22. The previous year she foaled a striking large chestnut colt, but sadly it was not his time and we lost him.We named him Poppet. At the time Bridie was so distressed we immediatly telephoned Joanna Vardon at the foaling bank,(who was fantastic in our hour of need) and we were put in touch with somebody who had just lost their mare. The somebody happened to own Washington Postman, who was then being evented by Oliver Townend and Matt Ryan....As the story goes the owner very kindly allowed us a free serve off him...I desperatly needed another mare, enter Koffi.

As long as I can remember, i have carried a stud photo in my wallet of JUMBO. I was blown away by him, he was everything I wanted in a stallion, so when i found an advert for a Jumbo mare in foal to a spotty I was elated.

Jolly was eventing, and incurred an injury to her neck, which once again was ablessing for me, as it allowed her to become a broodmare.

After a second foot and mouth outbreak where Jolly was in the middle of, we finally brought her home. We gingerley awaited our new arrival. PICTUS LITTLE APRIL SHOWERS was born on the 28th April 2008. She has been retained by the stud......And here begins our love of "spotties"
